Tuvshinbayar Dashdorj has photographed Mongolia since 1996. In 2006 he founded Photolink, and for years he drove vehicles he had rebuilt with his own hands to places that rarely see visitors. Photolink Tours shares those roads: you travel with a working photographer, and see Mongolia closer than any tour bus can take you.
Off the road, he is just as much at home under the bonnet. He is a member of the Mongolian Offroad Federation, the Mongolian UAZ Club and the Unlimity Offroad Club.
Photolink Tours brings planning, expert leadership, guest care, transport and camp logistics together in one team. For every journey we assemble the right crew from our core staff and contracted specialists, matched to the route, the size of the group and the needs of our guests.

Videographer
Films each journey, so guests take home the story as well as the photos.

Videographer & Camp Manager
Behind the camera by day, running camp by night.

Driver
Knows the tracks of the steppe and desert by heart.

Interpreter & Ornithologist
Bridges languages and knows every bird on the route.

Driver & Camp Manager
Gets the vehicles there and has camp ready when you arrive.

Cook
Runs the field kitchen, with meals that taste like home.

Cook
Plans menus around every guest's needs, even far from town.

Cook
Keeps the field kitchen running, morning to night.
Every journey is led by a trip leader who brings these teams together and, within the approved route, adapts each day's programme to the weather, the road conditions and our guests' interests.
We are growing. If you love the road as much as we do, we would like to hear from you.

Office-based in Ulaanbaatar. Fluent English, organised, and good with people.
Seasonal, by contract. Knows Mongolia's rivers and practises catch-and-release.

We travel in our own 4WD vehicles: Toyota Hiace and Foton Toano vans for guests, with a UAZ Hunter, the symbol of our tours, and a pickup carrying the camp and field kitchen. Because the camp comes with us, we stop where the land and the light are best, not where the hotels are.
