Khongoriin Els — Singing Dunes
The Gobi's tallest dune system, best at sunrise and sunset.

Scheduled & Private Expedition
Light-driven photography across the dunes, cliffs, and nomadic life of the Gobi — with real field support for the shots that matter.
Photos & video of you — by a professional photographer on the trip.
Shifting dunes, wind-carved rock and nomadic families who move with the seasons — the Gobi is one of Mongolia's most photographed landscapes. This expedition follows its sunrise and sunset light from Ikh Gazriin Chuluu to the singing dunes of Khongoriin Els, with a photographer-led team that adapts to weather and field conditions.
Photography Highlights
The Gobi's tallest dune system, best at sunrise and sunset.
Traditional Bactrian-camel travel, where locally available.
Layered cliffs and canyon walls near Yolyn Am and Tsagaan Suvarga.
Wind-sculpted desert flora and terrain detail.
Night-sky and low-light photography may also be possible in low-light-pollution desert conditions, weather and timing permitting.
Proposed Itinerary
Arrival briefing and gear check ahead of departure to the Gobi region.
Travel from Ulaanbaatar toward Ikh Gazriin Chuluu for the first granite-formation photography opportunities.
Sunrise over the dunes and blue hour at camp anchor the itinerary. These are planned light opportunities, not guaranteed shooting windows — the daily plan will always respond to actual light, weather, and field conditions.
Photographers, Storytellers, and Curious Travellers
For photographers, storytellers, curious travellers and private groups who want a real expedition, not a bus tour with photo stops.
Moderate
Expect sand-dune walking, warm daytime temperatures, cold desert nights, and long vehicle transfers on unpaved roads.
